A few words...
1 week ago I won the Strongman Champions League WORLD CHAMPION Title in the SCL Final in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and I still cannot realize it. People asked me how I feel now and I cannot express it in words how much this title mean to me. How do you explain or what would you say when your greatest dream come true and you worked years over years pretty hard on that goal. I didn’t have words for that and still don’t have it.

It was an unbelievable weekend and emotional rollercoaster – for me, for my team, for my family, for my friends and for my fans. On top of the world, down in the dumps!

Friday I had an awesome start in the competition and came second (tied with Alex Moonen) in my worst even the Fronthold, I managed to win the Car-Deadlift (tied with J.F. Caron) and then the worst case happened – I suffered to a full rupture of my left Achilles Tendon at the Truck Pull. I fell down to the ground, unable to stand up, and at that time I already know something really bad happened! Heinz Ollesch couldn’t feel the tendon, so we knew it! Later I sat on my chair and I couldn’t believe what happened! All the hard work, all the time, all the competitions… all for nothing cause it is over now – so close before the end and my greatest dream. I was so disappointed and frustrated and didn’t know if I should just flip out or start crying.

Then something special happened and because of that I love strongman. Ervin Katona, who was also in top chance to win the SCL World Champion Title, came to me followed by the rest of the competitors and my team, and told me that he calculated the points and I should try to continue and at least try the Event Arm Over Arm the next day to save some points cause it’s still possible to win the title. That was a magnificent moment! Strongman is an one-man-sport, but even during the most important competition we are one great team, one big family and one big brotherhood!

The next station was the hospital for me, my girlfriend Cornelia and Martina Herget to get something to fix my leg, but as you can imagine the doctor was just head-shaking with the words “that’s impossible to compete the next day”. We went to a private Hospital cause the first doctor didn’t want to take the responsibility for our crazy idea to continue the competition. We arrived the hotel after hours in about 4 am and the rest of the night was horrible with all the pain and the thoughts in my mind.

The next day Heinz Ollesch and Martina Herget fixed my leg over 1 hour and guess what – it worked. It worked much much better than we expected. So if anybody gets injured and still wants to win just call them and they will fix even a serious injury and you will win. Haha

With that fixation and the help and motivation of everybody I could do the impossible. I almost limped 20m with 150kg per side Farmers Walk, I achieved a rep in the Log Lift with 150kg and WON the Arm-Over-Arm against all other competitors!

Everybody helped me and took care about me. I have never experienced such a heart touching moment. I want to thank so many people for their help and their support during the last time and of course the contest. So many wished me the best and sent me encouraging words. I am totally overwhelmed from that participation.

Posle prvog dana nezvanicno:
Prvog dana takmicenja takmicari su odmerili snage u drzanju ispred(front hold),druga disciplina je bila car deadlift,treca povlacenje autobusa.Prvu disciplinu je pobedio Eddie Hall,JF Caron i Wildauer sa 7 ponavljanja su pobedili u car deadliftu,a Bjornsson je pobednik u povlacenju autobusa.Posle prvog dana Eddie Hall vodi ispred Radzykowskog i Blekaitisa.Wildauer se povredio u povlacenju autobusa i pitanje je da li ce sutra moci nastaviti takmicenje.
